cart kids around before he resells, or at least I got the impression that his priority was to get a fixer-upper and the fact that 2+2 was available was a bonus so he unknowingly is shopping for a 2+2 thinking it will be as worth his while as a TT.
If I were him I'd shop for a 2+2 with a blown motor or chassis and drop a TT into it. Assuming he has what he needs to do the job. Thats the only way he is going to get good value out of a 2+2 later on. In all honesty, 2+2's and NAs just arent going to get anymore valueable, though they are yet to reach their "floors".
